Wait Staff Position Job Summary
Accommodate customers’ needs by having extensive knowledge of menu content,
preparation techniques; utilize suggestive selling, order taking, serving beverages
and meals in a welcoming, professional and friendly manner. Night, weekend and
some Holiday hours are required. As alcohol is served by wait staff, each applicant
must be at least 18 years of age.
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Engage customers in conversation to increase their dining experience and check totals.
• Take orders; serve food & beverages, clear dishes, present guest check and collect
payment in a timely manner
• Set-up/close out work station equipment, maintain stock, orderliness and cleanliness of
work station
• Communicate customers’ concerns, complaints and compliments to management
• Support Sales efforts of management
• Promote The Pasta Shoppe to customers by possessing a professional demeanor and
knowledge of current operations and past history.
• Work together with all staff to provide a productive, clean, safe, and satisfying work
environment
• Maintain knowledge of all menu and drink items
• Complete all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Two years minimum Food service experience preferred
• Be familiar with regulatory guidelines for food establishment and restaurant
• Abide by all Government food regulations and inspections
• Display effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate high level of professionalism
• Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly
Dishwasher Position Job Summary
As a dishwasher with The Pasta Shoppe, you are responsible not only for washing
dishes, but also making salads, soups, and some appetizers. In addition, you
retrieve anything the cooks and servers need from the basement. As support staff
in this restaurant, you work to get things done quickly and make sure the dining
room can run more efficiently.
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Clean dishes both in a dish washing machine as well as in a sink.
• Prepare salads, soups or other appetizers as needed
• Set-up/close out work station equipment, maintain stock, orderliness and cleanliness of
work station
• Stock goods at the end of the night throughout the restaurant
• Work quickly and efficiently to get the job done right
• Work together with all staff to provide a productive, clean, safe, and satisfying work
environment
• Complete all other duties as assigned
